Elsa by M1-Project, also sold as Elsa AI, is an AI marketing assistant that builds an ideal customer profile (ICP) and then turns it into a marketing strategy, social posts and ads. It is live in September 2026 with credit-based pricing. It suits founders, consultants and small agencies that want structured audience research fast, but it has no ad-platform or CRM integrations.

      Last updated: September 2026

      What is Elsa by M1-Project?

Elsa is the AI assistant at the center of M1-Project (styled M1-project), a web platform at m1-project.com. The company’s pages use the names Elsa, Elsa AI and M1-Project interchangeably for the same product. Its main promise is audience-first marketing: instead of starting with a blank prompt, you first generate an ICP, and every later strategy, post or ad draws on that profile.

M1-Project launched Elsa on Product Hunt on September 7, 2023, with the tagline “Understand your audience 5 times better & faster.” AI CMO’s review names Ihor Dervishov as founder. His author page on the M1-Project site says he previously scaled M1.top, an affiliate marketing network, to more than $12 million in annual revenue. The site footer lists addresses in Wilmington, Delaware, United States, and Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, and names “FOP Dervishov Ihor,” a Ukrainian sole-proprietor registration, as the business behind the site.

Not to be confused with ELSA Speak: that is an unrelated English pronunciation app from a different company, which we review separately.

Is M1-Project still active in 2026?

Yes. The homepage, pricing page and tool pages were online when we checked in September 2026, and the blog shows new posts in 2026, including an Elsa overview updated on January 30, 2026. We found no rename, acquisition or shutdown notice. Third-party review activity is thin, though: the G2 listing shows 14 reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5, with the most recent dated November 2025, and the Product Hunt page shows a 5.0 rating from 13 reviews.

M1-Project says more than 2,500 marketers use Elsa. That is the company’s own figure and we could not verify it independently. The same applies to headline claims on its homepage, such as “87.5% less audience research time” and “up to 300% higher CTR with ICP tailored ads”; treat them as marketing, not benchmarks.

      Key features of Elsa AI

      ICP Generator

This is Elsa’s core tool. You describe your product or service in a few guided steps, and it produces an ideal customer profile report. According to M1-Project, reports include:

      • Firmographics: company size, revenue, location and industry (for B2B)
      • A buyer persona covering demographics, goals, challenges, values, buying habits and career details
      • Goals, triggers, barriers and engagement habits
      • More than 20 places where the audience spends time online

M1-Project says it supports any type of product or service in any location, both B2B and B2C. Reports download as PDF, and the tool page also mentions XLSX.

      Marketing Strategy Builder

The strategy builder turns an ICP into a marketing plan. M1-Project lists positioning and value proposition, tone of voice and brand traits, channels and acquisition tactics, pricing experiments, and KPIs to track. It says a strategy takes “about 5 minutes tops” and exports as PDF and DOCX, so you can edit it in Word or Google Docs.

      Content Generator for social posts

The content generator writes English-language social posts for LinkedIn and Facebook, with more platforms and languages marked “coming soon.” You choose the style, focus and topic, and the tool uses your ICP’s goals and pain points to shape the message. Each post costs 1 credit. It does not create images, schedule posts or publish to social accounts.

      Ads Generator

The Facebook ad generator asks for your website, campaign goals, ad type, audience and brand voice. The full version returns 15 ready-to-use ad variations with targeting settings, a targeting setup guide, audience segment suggestions and, per the page’s comparison table, a predictive score of ad success; the free trial returns 4. The homepage also mentions LinkedIn ads. Output is copy and guidance only: you still build the campaign in Meta Ads Manager or LinkedIn Campaign Manager yourself.

      20+ free marketing generators

Alongside the paid suite, M1-Project offers single-purpose tools grouped by task:

      • Strategy: marketing plan, content plan, positioning statement and value proposition generators
      • Audience research: customer, user and B2B buyer persona generators, plus a pain points generator
      • Acquisition and sales: ad copy (for Google Ads, Facebook and LinkedIn), email subject lines, email sequences, cold emails, lead magnet ideas, CTAs and PAS copy
      • SEO and social: meta description, title, content idea, caption and LinkedIn post idea generators
      • Product: product name, business name, slogan and product description generators

Several of these email the result to you, so expect to hand over an address. The SEO tools are copywriting helpers; there is no keyword research, rank tracking or site audit.

      Exports and agency use

The agency page says ICPs, strategies and content can be downloaded as CSV, PDF and editable documents, which lets agencies present client-ready reports. We found no public details on white-labeling, client workspaces or team seats.

      Benefits of Elsa by M1-Project

      • Structure out of the box: the ICP-to-strategy-to-content workflow removes the need to design prompts and templates yourself.
      • Consistent messaging: posts and ads draw on the same audience profile, so tone and pain points stay aligned across channels.
      • Client-ready documents: PDF, DOCX, XLSX and CSV exports suit consultants and agencies that deliver reports.
      • Low-risk trial: free generators, 4 free Facebook ads and a 7-day money-back guarantee on purchases.

Elsa AI use cases by role

      • Startup founders: draft an ICP, positioning and first go-to-market plan before hiring a marketer.
      • Marketing agencies: produce persona and strategy reports during onboarding or pitches; M1-Project publishes case studies from agencies such as 24/SALES and Xanthos Digital.
      • Consultants and fractional CMOs: speed up discovery work and leave more time for client-specific analysis.
      • Performance marketers: generate batches of Facebook ad angles tied to specific audience segments for testing.
      • Solo marketers: keep LinkedIn and Facebook posting on-message without writing every post from scratch.

How much does Elsa by M1-Project cost?

As of September 2026, M1-Project does not sell named monthly plans. You buy credits and spend them on outputs, either as a monthly package that renews or as a lifetime package you pay for once and use at your own pace. You can switch between the two at any time. The default package shown on the pricing page is 500 credits; a slider offers other sizes (100, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 credits), and larger packs get bigger discounts.

      Frequently asked questions

Is Elsa by M1-Project still available in 2026?

Yes. As of September 2026, m1-project.com is live and sells Elsa AI through a credit-based pricing page, and the company’s blog carries posts published in 2026. The product is marketed as both Elsa AI and M1-Project; we found no rename or shutdown announcement. The core tools are the ICP Generator, Marketing Strategy Builder, Content Generator and Ads Generator.

Is Elsa AI the same as ELSA Speak?

No. Elsa AI from M1-Project is a marketing assistant for ideal customer profiles, strategy, social posts and ads. ELSA Speak is an unrelated English pronunciation and speaking app from a different company. The two share a name only, so check which one you mean before you sign up or pay.

How much does Elsa by M1-Project cost?

As of September 2026, M1-Project sells credits rather than fixed plans. The default package on its pricing page is 500 credits for $180, shown as 10% off $200, either renewing monthly or as a one-time lifetime purchase. An ICP costs 100 credits, a marketing strategy 70 credits, and a social post or banner ad 1 credit. Other pack sizes are available with larger discounts.

Is there a free version of Elsa AI?

Partly. M1-Project offers more than 20 free single-purpose generators, such as persona, ad copy, email subject line and content plan tools, and some ask for an email address to deliver results. The Facebook ad generator gives 4 free ads before you pay; the full version produces 15. Full ICP reports and strategies use paid credits.

      What is an ICP generator?

An ICP (ideal customer profile) generator turns a description of your product into a profile of the customers most likely to buy. M1-Project says its reports cover firmographics such as company size, revenue and industry, a buyer persona with goals, challenges and buying habits, triggers and barriers, and more than 20 places where the audience spends time.

Does Elsa AI connect to Meta Ads, Google Ads or a CRM?

We found no native integration listed on M1-Project’s site. Elsa generates ad copy, targeting suggestions and posts, which you export as PDF, DOCX, XLSX or CSV files and then set up manually in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn or your CRM. It does not schedule or publish content for you.

Is Elsa AI better than ChatGPT for marketing?

It is more structured, not necessarily smarter. Elsa guides you through fixed workflows that turn one ICP into a strategy, posts and ads, and exports formatted reports. ChatGPT is more flexible and cheaper at $20 a month for Plus, but you must write the prompts and structure yourself. M1-Project does not disclose which AI models power Elsa.

      Verdict

Elsa by M1-Project is a focused, still-active tool for one job: turning a product description into a usable ideal customer profile, then carrying that profile into strategy, posts and ads. For founders and small agencies that lack a research process, the structure and exportable reports are worth the credit price, especially with the lifetime option and 7-day refund window.

It is not a full marketing platform. There are no integrations or publishing, the AI models are undisclosed, and the performance claims are the company’s own. If you already write good prompts, ChatGPT does most of this for less. Start with the free generators, buy a small credit pack for one ICP and strategy, and judge the output against what you know about your real customers.
